Today's labs were: 7th graders made banana bread and Foods II made: homemade ice cream, butter, and vanilla & chocolate pudding- all from scratch! Foods I Class made omelets that according to them were "bussin'" and I think that was good because they were excited when they said it. Yesterday I showed baking class how to make pie crust and tomorrow we will make apple pies. The hallways will smell good on Wednesday! Advanced Foods will do their Stir-Fry Lab this week too. My students are wonderful and they are learning culinary life skills along the way.

The Spanish III students learned how to make tortillas last week. The ingredients are simple - corn flour and water. They used a tortilla press or their creativity to press the tortillas, then cooked them on a skillet. Then they were eaten or fried to make chips. Qué delicioso!
