Congratulations to our wrestler Braden McShane for getting third place at the state wrestling tournament!!

Congratulations to King Ben and Queen Maya!

Spanish II classes took a brief few days and learned about the Jeep Wileys from WWII that were sold to 3rd world countries after the war. To this day, Columbia still celebrates the "mechanical mule" that had such a huge impact on the country's economy. Our last day was a competition to see who could put the most 'cargo' in their jeep. Congratulations to Zoey, Landon, and Tate.

Last week Spanish I classes cooked Spanish foods of their choice after learning about authentic foods from a variety of Spanish speaking countries. Churros and fried ice cream were popular choices, but a couple of groups made flautas and esquites. This day was made possible because of a grant that the Spanish department received to purchase kitchenware. Also during the week, the students created their own menus of authentic foods from a country of their choosing. They turned out great!

A unique way of celebrating Valentine's Day...heart dissections underway in Anatomy!

Second graders in Mrs. Heeren's class enjoyed working with conversation hearts today in math. They estimated how many hearts were in their box, sorted the hearts by color, and then counted the actual number of hearts. Students used this information to create a bar graph with their results. The best part was getting to eat the hearts when they were done!

Second graders in Mrs. Nuss's room played a math game called "Valentine's Day Doubles". They rolled 2 dice, added those numbers together, then doubled to find the number to color. Happy Valentine's Day! ❤
