The students were amazed at his talent and ability to create these ships without kits or blueprints. He is a wealth of knowledge! This temporary display will be at the Carnegie Cultural Center until November 15th. Be sure to stop in and take a look.

Coats! There are coats! Karla and Keziah created the coat project, and want to thank everyone for your generosity of giving. The coats will be offered at the schools, and then the Chickasaw Pride Pantry. If you wanted to donate, but have not had the opportunity yet, there will be a bin in the entryway of the high school front doors for about a week. Thank you!

New Hampton Elementary Book Fair is coming! During conference week, the Scholastic Book Fair will be at the elementary school. It will be open for students to shop before and after school along with it being open during conferences in the evening on Monday and Thursday. Scholastic has the option for kids to shop without cash thanks to eWallet, a digital payment account for purchases at the book fair. Follow our school’s Book Fair homepage link and create a free eWallet account or log in to your previous account. There you can add money to your child’s eWallet with your credit card- no need to worry about sending cash to school! For more information, please look at the flyer about eWallets attached and visit our book fair website at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/newhamptonelementaryschool

During Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday, November 4, the High School Guidance Office will be hosting parent meetings for those that are interested. This Fall, we will hold meetings for Freshman and Senior parents and will hold meetings for Sophomore and Junior parents during Spring conferences. These are not mandatory, but will have useful information on items you should be aware of, what your child can be doing right now, etc. The Freshman parent meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the Senior parent meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. Both meetings will be in the old cafeteria/the current FCS room on the top level of the high school. Any questions, please contact NHHS counselor Michelle O'Donnell at m_odonnell@new-hampton.k12.ia.us

Chickasaws end their season with a victory 35 - 8. Fight song and Victory Bell!

Parents: before conferences please double check around the house and on bookshelves to see if there are any library books that need to be returned. We have a large number of books that are outstanding from as far back as 2020. We would greatly appreciate having those books back in the library so other students can read them. If they are not returned the replacement costs will have to be paid before graduation. Thank you for your assistance!
