Hospitality & Tourism Class finished their Banquet Unit by making appetizers. The students learned about how to organize an event that would include a banquet. They learned about conventions, banquet order events (BOE), audio visuals, and careers in the hospitality industry.

Baking I Class has been extremely busy with their pie unit. Mrs. Schmitt demonstrated how to make a pie crust. The students during the week made one crust pies: a meringue pie and a creme pie - all from scratch! The students each took a picture to put into their portfolios. Their Baking Portfolios show their growth in their skills throughout the semester.

The holidays are quickly approaching and our dress up days for the month of December are here! Dress up days are the same for students and staff in the elementary, middle school, and high school. Happy Holidays!

Dickson and Luann Jensen had a desire to impact the next generation and believe books and athletics are two tools for developing leaders and helping set kids up for successful futures! They started a project in hopes of reaching all second graders across Iowa by gifting them the book "Just Like Caitlin". Thank you to the Jensen family for impacting New Hampton Elementary 2nd graders!

Shout out to Konen Construction for coming and working with the building trades students install rafters. It was a great day and the students learned a lot.
