Baking I Class has been busy with their Cake Unit. They have learned how to make a crumb layer to frost, a little on cake designing, and the different methods of making different kinds of cakes. The students made layer cakes or a shape cake. They made their own frosting and fondant. Mrs. Schmitt is so proud of their efforts and how delicious they turned out.

7th Grade FCS practiced the life skill of counting money. Counting back money is such an important skill to learn when the students are working jobs in the culinary field. They had fun learning with fake money.

Mrs. Sanford's preschool class had a great time exploring apples. Some of their favorite activities included making their own applesauce, creating apple stamping patterns, putting together the parts of an apple, sorting apples by color, making apple pies in the sensory table, and eating LOTS of apples!
