Another successful Northeast Iowa Studio Tour! This group asked great questions, spoke with the artists, and just were an all around great group to take. I'm so grateful for being able to do this. We teach the next generation to love art, support artists and hopefully add more to the world.

3rd Graders have been studying the life-cycle of a butterfly. The students raised baby caterpillars and watched them grow. The caterpillars formed into chrysalis and finally became butterflies. The 3rd graders released them on the playground.

Mr. Rude introducing our “guest speaker” (Mr.Schmitt dressed as Michael Phelps) to announce Outfly for our middle schoolers. Students thought that they were going to be sitting in a long assembly all afternoon but instead were surprised by an afternoon of fun activities!

Middle School Students had a lot of fun during this year's Outfly. What students believed to be an assembly on wellness turned into a get day of working together through play and activities. More action shots to come. Chickasaw Pride. #NHtribe

Is it kinetic or potential or is it both?” This warms the teacher’s heart when she hear students talking about information we learned in science - even when they are in other classes! Thank you, girls, for making her smile!

7th grade students have been reaching out for interviews as part of their Changing World project in Mr. Rude and Mrs. Feldman's classes. A few students were able to land some pretty cool guests! Zoey and Kinslee interviewed a teacher from New York City that lived through the 9-11 attacks. Alexis and Kayme interviewed Senator Grassley about his experience of the attacks, and Ella interviewed KWWL's Ron Steele about what it was like to be in the news business at that time.
