7th grade FCS (Family & Consumer Science) were acting out skits after learning about Kitchen Safety and Food Safety. It was a fun way to demonstrate what they learned.

This semester Mrs. Schmitt has two sections of Foods II Class. Just recently the students have been learning about meal planning and shopping for food. We are planning a field trip to the local Fareway store and buying groceries. One of their assignments was to plan nutritious balanced meals for one week for $55.00! It is doable if you buy fresh ingredients. The students used sale fliers to make their dollars stretch.

Thank you seniors and parents for everything you have done for Chickasaw girls basketball!

This week is National Counselor's Week! Please take time to thank Mrs. McAvoy, Mrs. Miller, and Mrs. Maas for all that you do for our students! They are always there to lend a helping hand!

Mrs. Schmitt's Advanced Foods Class has been learning the importance of plating. Their assignment was: A new restaurant is opening in town and you have been asked to create a brownie dessert for the dessert menu. You will create a visually appealing brownie dessert for this new restaurant, applying your knowledge of plating desserts. You will receive a brownie, decide how you want to plate it and then photograph, name and write a menu description for your decadent brownie dessert. We would like the Chickasaw community to be our judge for this contest. Please look at the two posts and only choose ONE winner by liking that photo. There were a total of (six brownies) seven photos to choose from. Notice one brownie had two photos.
