Congratulations to our Foster Grandparents for their years of service! They are dedicated to helping students with their learning needs and supporting classroom activities. New Hampton Elementary is very lucky to have two of their very own retired teachers return to the school. Thank you for all you do!
In case you have ever wondered what the Interact Club does here is a list of the service projects that were completed during this year. Many projects lasted throughout the year, and others were one time projects. The group chose BIG projects and smaller ones, but every one of them mattered to someone else. If your student has a heart to serve, consider having him/her join Interact next year. Interact is the teen group of Rotary, and we would not have been able to complete so many projects without the support of the NH Rotary and its members.
Today was the last Interact Club meeting of the year. These students number 63 strong and completed 13 projects, including International, Community, and School projects. This group proves the impact a group of individuals can make across the world. These students have hearts to serve!
The Interact finished their last project of the year with the International Project sponsoring Land of Hope in Africa. The students collected items for an orphanage. The items were for babies on up.

Beta Sigma Phi Gamma Eta Sorority made a generous monetary donation of $100 to go toward the purchase of countertop ice makers for the nurses' stations.
This donation is intended to help reduce the cost and inconvenience associated with replacing lost or unreturned ice packs.

Thank you to Patty O’Hollearn and Holly O’Brien of NICC, Kayla Brown of MercyOne, and Mitch Laures of Vern Laures Auto Center for speaking to the Game of Life class. Patty and Holly shared valuable insight into 12 essential soft skills for workforce success, Kayla discussed her career, the importance of self-advocacy in health, parenting a child with special needs, and promoting inclusion, while Mitch provided helpful guidance on the vehicle purchasing process and key considerations to keep in mind.
