Friday, September 15th is International Dot Day We read the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds Each Elementary student colored a dot. What is the purpose of International Dot Day? International Dot Day is celebrated by adults and children for boosting courage so that their creative potential is released. It is a great day to connect and collaborate, and also to celebrate self-expression.
A group of FFA Members helped pack meals for Meals from the Heartland at Homeland Energy Solutions. In the hour that they were there, the students made over 5,000 meals. They were able to package over 16,000 meals in total yesterday. This is something they look at potentially doing again next year.
Good luck to the Cross Country team!! They are going to Independence MHI Campus-Cross Country Course for the cross country meet. The girls will run at 6:10PM, and boys will run at 5:40pm. Go Chickasaws!!

The students were finishing their chrysanthemum flowers after reading the story. After they were happy with their own unique flower, they got to navigate through lexia for the first time in first grade!
