Elementary Special Education Teacher: Strat I

The New Hampton Community School District is looking for a full-time Elementary Special Education Teacher with endorsement of Strat:I.

The district is looking for an individual who is student centered and can provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; Evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows State mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP case manager to assigned students.

The New Hampton School District is located in beautiful Northeast Iowa approximately 45 minutes North of Waterloo/Cedar Falls. In addition, New Hampton is the home of Iowa BIG North, a hands-on community centered education program. This complements the district's focus on Real World Problem based learning.

Education Qualifications:

Minimum B.A/B.S degree in teaching from an accredited institution in the appropriate special education area as well as a current Iowa Teaching Certificate with Instructional Strategist II: ID - 264 or willingness to obtain.
